The mass media program is specially designed for students who are interested to take up a career in the newspaper, radio or television industry. It combines the studies of mass communication, visual communication, multimedia and production processes. The growth of Internet and interactive media technologies is creating a communication revolution. In these programs, students study the codes, processes and types of knowledge involved when people communicate. The codes are primarily those of spoken and written language, but also include visual codes and non-verbal communication. The processes, that students study, are cognitive and social: how we see and classify the world, and how we react to others when communicating.
